Email received for WFH job opportunity from Nexit Software. Sent employee agreement. They requested image of DL & W4 tax form w/ Social security #. I did so. Next day they requested install of Telegram for communications. I did so. On 01/28/25 they requested thru telegram a task to receive $5,000 via e-echeck to deposit into my bank account to purchase equipment like laptop, scanner etc. via cryptocurrency. They indicated that I processed this request I would receive 6%% ($300) as a bonus. I refused that and offered an alternative via CashApp to receive the funds to purchase the equipment. I advised them that I was not comfortable using my personal back account and was advised that they will get back to me. I didn't complete any transactions w/ them but did send copy of DL & Social # on tax form W-4.
