Type of a scam Employment
Set up an interview through Microsoft Teams, stated that I was hired and had me print and sign documents for employment. Then had me print front and back of the FAKE check and deposit it in my bank acct by mobile. Stating that $400 is available and the rest would be available tomorrow, all together totalling $2,350.00
Then, had me go to Walgreens and wanted me to get an Apple or Visa gift card, stating this was to be used for the electronics, desk, chair, etc. By this time I'm feeling extremely skeptical. So I leave the store and head straight to my bank. The are having me speak w their customer service and I'm currently on hold w them, trying to stop the deposit transaction. Meanwhile, they are threatening me by saying I took their money and reported me to Interpol, whatever that means??
My bank is stopping all online transactions and had me set up new login information. They onformed me not to use anything over the amount they gave me as MY actual amount in my checking.
I am appalled that people can so these kind of things and get by with it!! How do they sleep at night, I wonder?
