I have been applying to jobs on various sites. 2/26/24 I received an email from [email protected] stating that the Hiring Manager at the Compass Group saw my resume and wanted to have an interview on zoom using their chat feature. The email included the email address and name of the "Hiring Manager" that I would be interviewing with. Everything in the initial email looked legit but I did notice the email address wasn't professional. I proceeded to zoom to conduct the interview and I never actually spoke or saw anyone. The entire interview which consisted of a series of questions and tests was done using the chat feature only (2nd red flag!!) Although suspicious, I went through with the process to see what would happen. The website they provided looked legit https://www.compass-usa.com/careers/ . After the "interview" they offered me the job. Below is the conversation from there:

All of my information besides my home address has been shared through the application process. Once I receive the letter I will provide any additional information that you need.

I then received an email with a w-4 and 35 page welcome packet included as attachments. I was told that we would start paid training the following day at 8am. Needless to say I will not be logging onto zoom tomorrow morning to move forward and wanted to make sure everyone is aware of this SCAM.......O and they offered me $42.15/hour for a Data Entry / Customer Service position (5-40 hours per week) and informed me that my first 2 paychecks would be mailed to my home (no PO Box allowed) and I would have the option of direct deposit or wire moving forward.
