I was called and told that I qualified for a $5000 loan over a 24 month period. They told me I would have a 10% interest rate, told me what the payoff would be, provided me with false loan documents and everything. When they called, they already had my name, phone number, email address, place of employment, last 4 of my social security number, and banking information. I was offered a Personal Protection Insurance Plan in case I ever defaulted on my loan, it would cover my payments in the event of illness or losing my job etc. but rather than make me pay for it out of pocket, they would send a deposit to my checking account account for $998 dollars to pay for the insurance premium. They told me to to buy Apple Itunes Gift Cards (10 in total, 9 for $100 each, and one for $50) and that I could keep the remaining $48, and that once they received these monies, they would deposit my funds for my loan within "20 minutes". They asked for the card numbers over the phone, and then after they got the card numbers, they ran off with their $998, and then reversed the $998 deposit from my bank account, leaving me negative over $770. When I called them back, they swore at me, calling me horrible names, and playing games, finally leading me to believe it was a scam. Their phone live is still active if you call them, a live representative will answer. They tell you the "Insurance" company is City Group of Insurance Corporation, and that their website is www.citygroupofinsurance.com. This is all false information of course.
