Daniel Garcia with Elite Acquisitions Partner contacted us saying there was a buyer who wanted to purchase our Garza Blanca timeshare as they needed the points/purchasing/voting power. Daniel was to help handle the transactions as he was the real estate agent. We were told there was a 10% fee. Over a course of almost 1.5 years, we have lost way over 6 figures d/t my husband had faith in him and the legal firm Jurídico Sánchez y Asociados in Mexico who was "handling the transactions". We were charged fee after fees with Daniel saying we would be sued for breaking a contract. Final straw came down to where the attorney, . Jose Guadalupe Lopez Padilla, handling the transaction was "money laundering" and we had to "help" catch him. Padillo was "put in jail" and when he went to court, he "incriminated" all the clients so we had to pay a NEW attorney. (Unfortunately, my husband would NOT listen to anyone that this was a scam because he trusted Daniel.) The new attorney, Carlos Cruz Ramirez, said we were "exonerated" due to misspelling of our names and had to pay $50K to be cleared. They continued to harassed us and said the DA/Prosecutor has been trying to contact us; if we didn't pay we will end up going to jail. They have continuously threatened my husband since the beginning and he was afraid to pull out. I was able to talk to the US Embassy and FBI regarding this time. Reports filed to FBI, FTC, and Texas Attorney General .

Stacy Royse contacted me by phone saying that one of the principals in the Grand Solmar Group wanted to buy out timeshares to gain a controlling interest in the company. Stacy asked how much I paid for my timeshare, I told her $20,000 USD. She asked for my email and said they would send a purchase offer. I received the offer for $45,170 USD. This immediately was a red flag for me so I did my research and discovered a complaint about the same company on this site. I will be posting this information on a Facebook group for timeshare owners.

Elite Acquisitions contacted me around Early Jan to discuss the potential sale of our timeshare within Puerto Valeria Mexico. They asked for an email address to send an offer of intent, right off the back I felt this was a little strange, we have heavy accented individuals with names such as Jerry Stanley, which sounded completely out of character. Either way I was interested to hear what they had to offer, I provided my email address which they provided an offer, I called back we negotiated back and forth somewhat, and they asked me to respond to the offer of intent via counter and and an email. so I did, they accepted, they provided a new offer of intent, but I still felt this was sketchy, but continued with the process. I then received a call from a so called attorney in Mexico who emailed me and provided me proof of funds in a bank account, and suggested that the buyer is ready to purchase the timeshare from me. Next I received a contract from Elite Acquisitions partners, asking for $3000 to be sent to cover taxes and fees, but assured me that I would be reimbursed by the seller then we close. This is where I knew something is WRONG. I immediately told "Jerry Stanley" with the heavy accent. NO, this doesn't sound right. Let me get one of my friends who happens to be an attorney to look at this, he advised me I can do that, but to contact them back within 72 hrs as the contract a limit. Either way to make the long story short.. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM ELITE ACQUIT IONS PARTNERS, keep in mind IF YOU HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET UPFRONT to SELL ANYTHING.. ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!! I am reporting this to help others who have been defrauded to get the help they need and also as a warning to others.

This company contacted us in November and advised they had an investor that was wanting to acquire timeshares at Grand Solmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Their representative, Reinaldo Roman advised us that all we would have to pay was a transfer fee of $3,170., to be wired to an attorney, Jose Guadalupe Lopez Padilla at Juridico Sanchez Y Asociados, in Zapopan, Jalisco. We were then advised the proceeds would be wired to our account upon the closing. We were also advised upon our inquiry, that a full lien search had been completed and there were no liens on this undeeded timeshare. They then advised we had to pay the VAT Tax to the Mexican Government in the amount of $5,072., which was sent to them by wire transfer also. We were advised the commission of 8% to Elite Acquisitions Partners would be paid at time of closing and the balance of the proceeds would be sent to us. The attorney agreed in writing, (of which we sent both parties the Guarantee Letter), that as soon as he received the commission funds of $2,536., he would release the amount of $42,478. within 48 hours. That payment was verified as received on 1/21/2020. As of today, the attorney and Reinaldo Roman have advised us we need to pay an additional $4,121., due to an audit of the Tourism Promotion Trust. I have no idea who or what this is, however we sent the attorney and Elite Acquisitions Partners an email earlier today demanding the release of the funds in the amount of $42,478., by January 31, 2020, or the entire contract would be considered null and void and demanded the $10,778., we have paid be returned to us immediately. We received an email from Reinaldo Roman at Elite Acquisitions Partners advising us that if we do not pay the new demand of $4,121., within 5 days, then Elite Acquisitions Partners will look for another seller, and we will need to pay them $5,389., for breach of contract.
