I got a call from Elending Financial representative Jessia Hill after I applied to a few loan companies online. She was professional and nice. Everything seemed ok, I was apparently approved for a $10.000 personal loan. Signed the contract and sent my information like picture ID and so on with the signed contract. There was supposed to be a paymnet of $850 for loan insurance and suposedly it would be refunded to me if I don't miss any paymnets in the first 6 months. Today after sending the signed contract and documents, Jessica Hill told me to do an Interac transfer to an email [email protected]. This is where I started getting suspicious so I called my bank and they verified to me that no legitimate loan company will ever ask for an advance paymnet especially not to an email address as weird as the one mentioned here - I mean...it's common sense. Luckily I became suspicious early enough to not lose any money, but for some people this is not the case. Please be careful and always check if the company is legitimate or contact your bank for them to help you determine if it's a scam or not.

I applied for a loan and they offered me 10000$ for a 800$ insurance policy. I paid the insurance. Then the woman I dealt with the whole time Jessica Hill was apparently on maternity leave of this she told me nothing. She stated on record as apparently all calls are recorded that as soon as the etransfer was accepted from there end the funds would be deposited between the hours of 6pm and 9pm Sunday. Well no deposit. I call back the number on Monday get a guy who does not disclose his name. He stats I need to pay for taxes on the insurance which there was no mention of in my contract I received through my email. I refused to pay more and demanded a refund immediately. He stalled me by saying call back in an hour I will have information on your file at that time he did this twice. After the second time he said the funds should be deposited by end of business day which was 4pm. Well no refund came. I called back no answear and the machine is full.

Do not send any money to this place! Biggest scam, they ask pay $1,950 upfront for insurance to protect your loan of $30,000 over the course of 10 years. Then a lady named Jessica tells you to send money to these "couriers" through e-transfer which then get auto deposited into their acct with no need of security question or answer. Then if you call back she tells you , your money will be in your account in a few hours from 6pm-12am. Then turns off her phone. She will answer her phone and keep giving you a run around story saying "you missed the deadline" for today it should be in soon or tomorrow. Point of the story is I lost $1,950.00 they tell you they will return the lonely in 2-3 weeks but I doubt that. Beware these people need to be caught!

Got contacted from a lady named Jessica Hill who works for Elending Financial, that is based out of Toronto. She told me that my loan was approved on a secured basis because my credit isn't the best. She went over the three options for collateral and I picked the insurance option. She had told me the three options for insurance coverage - basic, intermediate or the best. I chose the basic because she told me that option was good enough. I then got a call from her again that stated that the first amount I sent wasn't enough and that I needed to send more for the intermediate insurance coverage, which covered me for 5 years instead of 3 years, in case of job loss etc. Fine, makes sense. I sent the money to two different "carriers" by e-transfer. After I sent the second amount for the immediate insurance coverage, I was told I had to pay an additional amount for taxes on the loan, that I would get right back as soon I went in to H&R Block to get the required paper. So, I sent the other amount by e-transfer, because I was told I'd have the money within a few hours. Right after I sent that, I contacted Jessica to follow up to see what was going on with the loan and she transferred me to this Paul guy who is apparently her supervisor. He informed me that the first lender backed out because it was taking too long and I was to send another $300 for an insurance deductible that this new lender/insurance company was asking for. After all of this, I had finally had enough and told her I wanted a refund and would like it by e-transfer, the same way I sent it. Jessica gave me some kind of runaround as to why that couldn't be done and told me I would have to wait for a cheque to come in the mail within 2-3 weeks, because there is some kind of process to issue a refund. Based on everything that happened previously, I'm not even sure I will be getting this refund.
