Purchased some items off ebay from seller and was told my items were shipped to my house, but when i got home nothing was shipped, i contacted ebay from the numbers listed above and they told me that somehow my items were shipped to mexico, i asked them how was that even possible when they have my correct address, told me, in order to rectify the situation, i would need to go get a ebay gift card for 200.00 and i told them i was not going to do that, and he told me that he could not help me if i didnt do that then hung up! i called the ScamPulse.com and called the number again, and the man answered the phone very disgruntle and stated that i had already called 5 times and to not call and they can not assist me, then hung up. i know this is a scammer. possibly got scammed from the purchased items which was around 160.00 since i never received them. Found out the numbers that were suppose to be ebay were not really ebay.

ordered something from ebay, never got the order, i got the number from google to call and inquire about the order, sent me to  website and gave me information that said "ebay customer service, call now, didn't give me a number just a link to click, i clicked the number to call and it connected me to people who was pretending to me ebay. told them i haven't received the order, asked did i order through debit or paypal. told me if i ordered with debit they would need to see proof that i ordered it, told her i can screenshot it but she said no they need to see it for themselves. told me to download apps "any desk and quick support" downloaded that and they were basically looking into my account information, after a while, i saw my money decreasing and i asked them what was going on, they told me this was just a way to grant access to see the transaction but more money was being taken, i told them to refund my funds NOW! Told me to type the word refund and my money would come back, i knew this was wrong and i closed out of my account to disable the access. they then told me to go to a walmart to get a gift card but i hung up after that because i knew i had messed up.

I was looking for a vehicle to use for work. I saw a 2004 Red Toyota Tacoma listed on Marketplace while on Facebook. I contact the seller and communicated via email. I thought I did my homework but this scam fooled me. I ended up sending $1,500 via Bitcoin, which should've told me to be careful as I don't think eBay operates that way when selling vehicles. After I sent the money, I received another email telling me the vehicle shipment is on hold due to being underinsured and I had to send another $1,000 for transfer and shipping. Luckily I wised up and did not send anymore money to them. Hey people, these scammers are getting smarter and smarter. Please be aware.

They have a money back guarantee. So I fill like even though it wasn't there website but set up like there's they should grant the money back.

Scammer posted a listing on Facebook Marketplace for a 1999 Airstream Bambi for $800. After I messaged the seller, I was asked to contact Carolyn for more information. She emailed and said she was recovering from surgery and trying to sell her deceased husband's camper. I was asked to give her my name, address, and phone number and she would have Ebay contact me to initiate the sale. I received an email from [email protected] with directions on how to pay with a prepaid card. See image.

I was selling the gentleman Pokémon cards on EBay. What I thought was EBay contacted me back asking for payment in Gift cards and was going to pay it back through a one-time payment through PayPal. This person spent time making a fake EBay and sent me emails to scam me for Gift cards.

I found a jet ski I wanted to purchase which was through Ebay. The offer seemed too good to be true. A jet ski that according to what we looked up could have a value of $5000.00. It was listed at $800.00 and in really good shape with low mileage. Per the seller, she was getting a divorce and wanted to get rid of it. Said the process would be smooth and all I had to do was buy $800.00 of gift cards with cash from any store that sells Ebay gift cards and to show her the picture of the numbers for the card or send the receipt with the numbers. She also said the trailer was included and that it would ship without any additional cost to me once I sent confirmation with everything to Ebay. The Ebay email I received looked legit and said that I could call the direct phone number to report the numbers on the gift cards or just send in a photo. I could also ask questions at that phone number if I had any. I was going to call to question it since I've never bought or sold on Ebay and do not know the procedure. I was a bit skeptical so I tried to look up the order number on Ebay but nothing came up. I then called the Ebay customer service to question it and when the numbers never had a product, I told them about what the seller was asking. I was told it's a scam and that Ebay would never ask me to buy gift cards and send numbers, that I would always pay with credit card or paypal. I'm glad I went with my gut and did not lose out on $800.00.

I tried to purchase a 1999 Jeep Wrangler and the lady told me her husband had passed away and she is letting it go for 1900.00. After paying with giftcards with eBay motors the number changed and all communications was cut off. And I have 4 children and this was very upsetting. Don’t not teust anything from eBay. I’m so upset that I fell for it after all the communication.

I have received 3 emails informing me that my ebay acct. has been temporarily disconnected. It is not! I suspect that this is some sort of scam to capture my information if I were to click on their link. I also suspect the reason they are pretending to to be ebay is because people will be desperate to keep their ebay acct. active because of CORVID-19.

I was sent an email, stating that Donna Potter, has selected eBay Motors Buyer Protection to handle a secure online transaction with me

and that I could find the invoice for the 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4x4 that I purchase from ebay

"Doris" has requested a vehicle report from a specific website be sent to her/his email after I make the $7.00 purchase. No name, address or phone shared from "[email protected].

I was inquiring about a pickup truck from the app “offer up”. Once I inquired the owner of the truck ask me for email address to correspond. Then to allow me to see the car she ask for name and address to be put on a shipping receipt to have truck sent to me to check out. To move forward eBay would be the broker to protect herself. She ask for gifts cards for for eBay to verify payment. Shipping of the truck will be made in 24hrs. She text me this morning to say she needs additional $1200 for tax, title, tags. I knew then things was not right. I have emails, text and invoices.
