Consumer was contacted initially via phone to acquire an advances fee loan. The business called themselves "Easy Payment Loans". The consumer paid by pre-paid gift card and lost $450 to the business. At a later date, the business contacted them again and was asking for more money to receive another loan. The consumer declined the second attempt.

I had been applying for loans on the internet and being denied; I got a phone call from a lady named Julie Hopkins saying that she was from easy payment loans and her company wanted to give me a loan of $2000 and I would have 18mos to repay the loan back for $141 per month and all I had to do was to give her company in advance $149 for insurance on the loan and I would get the money back along with the $2000 that will be placed into my checking account, I told her that I didn't have the money on that day and she said that she will give me time to get the money together, she called me back the next morning, I told her that I had a credit card and then she connected me to another person which his name was Fredrick Foster and I told him the same thing I told her and he told me how to get him the money, go to walmart, walgreens, cvs to purchase a google play station card and put the $149 on the card and give him the numbers on the back of the card, so foolishly I did what he asked and he told me to give him an hour before the money would show up in my checking account but before the hour was up another person called me named Mark and said that he was having a hard time trying to enter the money into my account and asked have I ever had money wired out of town before I told him no and he went over my bank information again to make sure it was the correct bank and I told him it was the correct information and he asked for my full SS# and I foolishly gave it to him and he said I'm stilling trying and then he said the because its from another state I'll have to pay another $250 in order for the transaction to take place and I'll get all of the money back plus the loan amount I told him that I didn't have two hundred and fifty dollars to give him and then he said it'll work if I gave him all of my bank information and it'll work and I could have $2,399 placed into my account; I told him that I was not going to give him anymore information about me and he said just call him back when I get the $250; so I called Fredrick Foster back but he was unable to come to the phone and Fredrick never returned my phone call so I called again and asked for Mark and he asked did I get the money and I told him no and he said that the only way it'll work is to give him my private bank information and asked me if I would trust him with my information I told him no I didn't trust him so I asked him to refund my $149 back and Mark said that it went straight to the insurance company and I couldn't get a refund. Would you please look into this situation and help me get my money back; I'm a retired senior and live off a fixed income.

They told me i was approved for a loan but in order to start the process I would have to pay a insurance fee of $490 they want you to go get a card like a Google card Google Play Store to be exact and they tell you that once the monies paid for the insurance to cover them then they will fund you your money within 15 to 20 minutes into your bank account they send you a loan agreement then you are waiting and I call you back and they tell you that your money cannot be pushed through until you give them another $550 and they say the reason for that is your state has held the funds please get these people they are terrible people and I would like if it's possible to have my $490 refunded back to me when you get to the bottom of this thank you so much
