I had been looking online for a loan last Wednesday when I got a text message from this business. I had not shared any information with them online so I'm not sure how they got my number. The text was offering a loan. I contacted them and began dealing with Shaun Brown, loan officer and Guy Walker. It was supposed to be a $3,000 interest free loan since I'm on social security. I was told they would electronically deposit $460 into my bank account, which they did, and I would need to get a $450 Walmart Gift Card with those funds and give them the card number. This was supposed to test my banking info to make sure the funds transferred correctly. They actually did 2 transfers of $460 and I bought 2 cards at $450 a piece. They also made another transfer into my account for $1,680. At that point, my bank became involved, inactivated my debit card, and now the funds that had been deposited suddenly are no good. I am now out the almost $1,000 that I will probably have to pay back to the bank.
