I'm not sure how it originated, but the scammer must have spoken to someone on the phone and got our copier model number. They then sent something via UPS, no one received any toner, so it could have been anything in order to get a UPS tracking #. They then sent greatly inflated invoices marked past due and sent a copy of the UPS tracking info as well. The person who they said ordered it doesn't order toner, and even if they did, we get toner from the company we lease the copier from as part of our contract.
