I am normally alert...

My flight got delayed and the flight agent said - since she can't help everyone personally please get on the phone and call a rep... I googled AA customer service and 8004337800 popped up. Spoke to the agent and since I wanted to get a booking done soon I followed everything he said (had an accent - 1st red flag, asked for bday 2nd flag, asked for don't remember what else :( , asked for 99 $..gave company card...they said it did not go through...asked personal card...went through - got an email but not from american airlines. Freaked out called banks cancelled cards...called other banks to gather money for the travel back home... Whoever you are Mike ... ask yourself... are you realllly happy today? Will you be happy on your last day???? Learned a lesson to slow down.
