Consumer called to report receiving postcard claiming to be from "Notification Warehouse Center" notifying her they were holding a package for delivery, but she had to pay $300+ via credit card for it. She did not mail order anything, much less for that amount of money, and called us to verify company. Company under that name exists in ScamPulse.com database and phone number indicated on postcard matched, but address did not, so advised her it most likely is someone posing to be with that company trying to get her to send payment for a package that doesn't exist.

I received a message on my answering machine that the IRS has been trying to get me. This is the final notice. They are filing a law suit to get more information on this case file. Call 202-738-1071.

They called and said I had a warrant for my arrest and said they were the IRS and it came up a DC number and they said the local police would be coming to arrest me for my warrant and when asked why they said they couldn't tell me

Male caller claims I won over $7 Million sweepstakes and car. Gave long, detailed information regarding delivery and needed a $375.25 UPS processing fee for delivery. There was a lot of pressure, including that my cancellation would be on television in the next 30 minutes.

He gave me his telephone #: 1-876-405-3768 with a cancellation number to call back. He is very convincing, even saying that an IRS agent would be present at delivery -- with names. I refused to accept, so lost no money.

On January 23, 2015, a caller by the name of Beverly Cosle, at telephone # 1-86-242-8598 left an obscene and threatening voice message stating: "If you do not pay your debt we will contact your employer and will inform your supervisor and also we will inform the police to come and arrest you"

I received a phone call from an apparent debt collector. When I asked for his name and the company he works for, he refused to answer me. He went on to explain that he was is collecting on a $9,000+ debt on a Discover card that was last used in 2005. He said they have attempted to collect on the debt for a long while and he told me to stop playing games with them. He then asked if I received a summons to appear in a federal court in attempts to collect the debt. I said no. He said since this is a debt that occurred through a large financial institution, they will take me to a federal court to collect on what is due.

Being a debt collector myself at one point, I remember I was always told to start any call with a mini Miranda by saying the call may be recorded and/or monitored for quality assurances. But I noticed that this person did not do so. Also, I have been told by many people that debt collectors cannot threaten to take me to court.

Payday loan...

Bothering my in laws and called husbands cell phone saying that I'm going to jail if I don't settle this ...received no documentation or emails. This happened last month also.

Called local pd and state and a lawyer and courthouse (ran my name) nothing! Seen on 800notes it's a scam; And stating it was a scam (it is tax season and come around Xmas also)and ignore don't give info or $...of was told to report to ftc and bbb...

We got a voice mail saying this is the IRS and we will be immediately filing a lawsuit against you if you don't resolve the issues by calling this number, which was 206-462-5425. My wife almost fell for it and called them, but I'm sure it's a scam so we are not calling the number. If you want us to work in cooperation with you by calling the number and reporting what we find, pls email me at ***@aol.com, or call me at ***. Also, should I report this to any law enforcement agency, and if so, do you have contact info?

I was contacted by a man with a really thick Indian accent saying that I was approved for a loan by *** *** ***... When I questioned him about the complaints about them being a scam he kept just trying to get my information. I also saw a complaint was someone had accepted cash from them and was now being monitored by the US department of justice and had a lawsuit against them from the United States government's and I wanted to know how I can go about filing a complaint so that they know that they are calling North Carolina residents now.

When I questioned him about the US Department of Justice monitoring the person he said something under his breath and then hung up on me. I have the number that he called me from if that's helpful

Also as we were talking there was some loud shouting in a different language in the background.
