This guy has at least 10 different profiles on FB with various names, all include McGhee. Mchghee Michael, McGhee Scott, etc. all using the same photos. He befriends women, claims to be on deployment in Africa & asks for money. I have reported all the profiles to FB but the response I received was that I must just block him if I don't like his content.

I got a call, the woman on the line was "fixing" her head set asked if I could hear her. The voice sound authentic and I didn't think twice to say yes. Eventually I realized it was a recording and that I had read about a similar scam. Please let me know what steps to take to prevent me from losing any money.

I wanted to report that I received a call this morning at 10:19 on my cell phone from 402-253-0533. I've heard about this being a scam and it caught me off guard. The lady acts like I can't hear her and when she calls me by my first name, she asked if I could hear her. I responded yes and then she began telling me about car insurance. I immediately hung up.

Someone called my mom's phone number and left a message that said a warrant had been issued for her arrest because she had committed fraud to the IRS, although they didn't use her name. The message said to call 240-293-4764 for more information about the warrant. The same number showed up in caller id. There was no attempt to take money since she didn't call the number back.

They called and asked if I could hear them and I said yes I can and then they hung up.

Happened at 4:44pm and the call lasted for 9 seconds

I received a call at my work in Los Angeles from someone in Colorado. This man had a heavy indian accent asking if this was "First name, Last Name." I said yes and the person on the line hung up. I looked this number up and the phone line is a scam.

Many people have complained about the same issue, so I'm concerned that my personal information/credit card info is at risk.

I received a call from the number listed above. The recorded message asked, "can you hear me?" I believe this was an attempt to get me to say "yes," so they could record it, and use it to commit fraud.

A woman's voice came over the phone and said Hello, and asked if I could hear her, then apologized for having an issue with her headset. That's when it became clear that it was a recording and she started to state that I was eligible for some prize. I hung up before I could hear more detail.

I am familiar with this scam, but have to be honest in saying the recorded voice in the beginning sounded very real. I use my cell phone for business and have to take calls from numbers I do not recognize.

This just happened minutes ago, so I am not sure if they were able to capture enough information that would enable them to make fraudulent charges.

Received multiple phone calls today (3/3/17) stating that their (name not given) records indicate that there is fraud and misconduct on my tax returns that I am trying to hide. When they called a second time, I answered and said hello but the person hung up so I tried calling the number back and received a busy tone.

A young woman called from a local number and said "Hi this is Rachel, can you hear me?" to which I replies "Yes", then started offering a vacation package. I told her I wasn't interested and they wouldn't stop talking. I immediately hung up and realized it was a scam. I notified my phone company, but they said they couldn't do anything.

phone number appeared on my phone as being from Olmsted Falls (my place of residence), but I didn't recognize the number. When I answered, there was a slight delay then the person on the other end used my first name, asking if this was me, to which I answered yes. Then she launched into a resort offer. I couldn't cut her off, so I just hung up.

answered the phone hoping it was a doctor returning a call. She said she was Heather and asked if I could hear her. (I know, I had read all about this scam but was caught.) She didn't say a business name but called ID said Seagoville TX. As soon as I said "Yes?" with the question in my voice, she hung up. I am so upset with me!!!

Caller asked if I could hear her, to which I responded "yes" and she tried to tell me I won a prize. I am afraid I was a victim of the new "yes" scam.

The guy calling... using the area code around San Diego, asked if I could hear him

I answered "yes" that I could and he then hung up. Am so angry at my self, as I am aware

of this scam...just did not think before I said it.
