Booked a vacation rental property through VRBO website. Vacation rental listed as managed by DC5STAR and my credit card payment went to DC5STAR. I was unable to reach property manager despite sending days of messages through VRBO, calling their listed phone number, emailing them and texting them through their standalone website (dc5star.com) listed contacts for some questions. Due to this I became concerned the booking was a fraud and requested a cancellation through VRBO well within free cancellation period. Cancellation was never accepted by the property manager which they are required to do within 24hours. Neither I or VRBO have been able to reach dc5star for weeks AND despite my request for cancellation, they still charged my credit card the remainder of my booking fee TWO weeks after I had cancelled my booking. The charges are now being investigated by my credit card. I have now found Dozens of complaints on Trip advisor of DC5STAR doing the same to others in the past several years.
