- Thomasville, NC, USA

I received a priority mail from the United States post office envelope addressed to me inside was a check for $1855 and also a letter informing me that I was chosen to be a mystery shopper. They want me to deposit a check and after the check was a deposit they want me to purchase gift cards from different businesses like target Kroger‘s Walmart, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc., etc. and they want to demand denominations from 50 all the way up to $500 Then they wanted me to scratch off the back of the gift cards and send them the information on the back of the card to an email address Customer survey [email protected]

- Houston, TX, USA

Advertised secret shopper sent cashier check for $2,255.00. You keep $500 and purchase EBay cards with the remaining amount

- Decatur, GA, USA

These people contacted me saying the same thing but about a job as a secret shopper. Take the check that was sent and deposit it into my account, so I decided to look this business up.

- Batavia, NY, USA

The scammer attempted to have me deposit a fraudulent check into my account. There is a promise I can take $600 out of $2450 after I evaluate gift cards. This is a common scam I hear about often.

- Calumet City, IL, USA

I received a letter in the mail stating that I was chosen to become a secret shopper and that I was to deposit the check that was sent to me in the amount of 2,450 and then was instructed to purchase ebay gift cards in the amount of 1,850. And then to send them the codes and card numbers.

- Macomb, MI, USA

They sent a letter for secret shopper offer. Sent a fake cashiers check in my name for $2,450.00. The letter stated that I needed to go deposit or cash the cashiers check and purchase ebay gift cards and send them the numbers on the back and I would get $500.00 and if I did it within 24 hours of the letter than I would get an extra $100.00. I looked it up on line and there were many scams the same as this and to report it to ScamPulse.com and FBI.

Was sent a $2450.00 check by a so called "Mystery Shopper" company from [email protected] to deposit check into my account and then go out and buy $1950.00 worth of EBAY GIFT CARDS. They give you a whole list of "official instructions" to make it sound legit, then after 7 instructions on how to evaluate your shopping experience, #8 is to scratch off the code on the back of the cards, take clear pictures of these codes along with the receipts of your purchases....lolololol.....and then you will be paid your commision!!!! They even go on to tell you to "keep these cards in a safe place" ( while they are using your codes and receipts pics to buy $1950.00 worth of EBAY item) while the check bouces in your account and you're out the rest of the $$$$$$$....priceless. This is what these [censored] do for a living!!!!! DISTGUSTING.....
