When I asked for my name and image removed from the http://mecklenburgpublicrecords.com site, this was their reply:
“Dear Mr. Caudle,
Kindly forward us the complete link for the specific page you would like removed from our website so we can try to assist you.

Cary McCormick”
If there is anyway to get this removed, please assist me with my options.

Type of a scam Identity Theft
Personal information was posted on a website in an attempt to extort money. When the site was contacted the owner responded with a request for money. When that request was denied the victim's credit card was stolen in an attempt to prompt the user to see how dangerous the website listing can be. The website was contacted again and when the payment was requested again the owner of the website updated meta data and identifying data on the website in an attempt to receive a higher Google ranking but also violating laws and statutes in 18 states.

4. If in violation of state statue where as a crime has been committed contact your local law enforcement and file a report.
