I received the below message and a series of follow messages from this individual. They are texting from a short code 40158 but request requesting I call a number to speak with them. I did not submit a loan request or do anything to request information from the company this person is pretending to be from.

“Hi Vanessa, Lexi here from CSFI USA. I am following up on your personal loan request for $60,000. Txt END to opt out. If you no longer need the $60,000 just let me know. Otherwise, do you have a few minutes now to talk? You can also reach us by calling (224) 506-1913“

Them: "OK, great. We will call you in a few minutes to get everything set up. FYI you will be receiving a call from 341/217-9773."

Call came in. I had looked up CSFI USA in the meantime, found it to be a scam, and didn't go any further with it.

I received a text message from someone named "Lexi" from CSFI USA. She stated she saw a loan request from me and I was pre-approved for $50,000.00 and wanted to discuss this with me. When I didn't respond she texted me again asking if I saw the previous text and again wanted to discuss the loan with me. I responded I did not apply for a loan. She replied thank you we will update our records. I don't understand how she has my cell phone number. This is worrisome that my information is out in the open again.
