Type of a scam Online Purchase

Same experience almost got scammed

Was aiming to purchase a Siberian car from this website, I got the contract of transfer ownership from the person who allegedly owns the website and the cat. The cat is 11 weeks old, and it's beautiful. However when contacted to pay for the total amount, they asked that I pay PayPal friends and family, when I pushed to pay using PayPal goods and services for my own protection, but they advised this would delay the process.
They initially advices I could choose any date for the car to be delivered, so I chose 1 week, so if I'm in control of the timeframe of delivery, why are they pushing for not to delay the process for me to use goods and services?

They sent me photos and latest videos of the cat, one with music in the background as it chases a robot vacuum machine.

They're charing everything with shipping $680 which is way too good to be true.

Based on the phone number they used to contact me, I did some research online to see if anyone has reported that number as a scam. I found a phone number reported as (believe it or not) a cat breeder scammer, someone lost $980 to them. I also see that same phone number listed on a very large number of third party and reputable pet selling websites.

In attempts to purchase a cat, this delivery company requested a refundable deposit of 980.00 for a carrier. They said payment was not received, but it has. They continued to state new fees until I ended the conversation. They are reported as a fraud. https://scam.pet/luciasiberiankittens-com/
