The scammer used my Merchant Services name, Elavon, and told me I should see an $850.00 credit on the Adjustments line of my July 2025 billing statement. I told them I didn't see the credit, and they proceeded to put in a resubmission report, gave me a case number, and asked me to email my July billing statement to them. In the email, they told me to put the case number in the subject line and "Attn: account auditor" in the body. I told them my internet was down and I didn't know when I could send it. In the meantime, I called Elavon, and they let me know it was a scam and gave me the only email address they ever use. I'm honestly not sure what they were attempting to do, but I felt the need to report it.
