I received a letter quoting NYS business law requirements for corporate records from Corporate Document Service with instructions to complete the forms and attach required corporate meeting minutes for a cost of 148.67. The letter reads as if it is coming from NYS and that you are required to do this. When you call the customer service number there is no pick-up, you just get sent to music for indefinite period of time. A similar thing happened when I was initially setting up my company where I received a letter from NY Certificate Service to send in approx $87 for a Certificate of Status. I unfortunately fell for it and later realized it was a scam, after calling the number, the state and the feds.
