I was attended a conference in Colorado. Some of the conference speakers made their publication materials available online and we were given instructions on how to access these material. In the process of accessing these materials, Somfarbe.com popped up and set up an online order form to purchase the material. I put in my debit card information, but I realized that I didn’t have to purchase the materials; being a registered member of the conference. I got suspicious and called my debit card customer service immediately to deny any charges from Somfarbe.com. They did so. Now I’m getting reports of Somfarbe’s trying to charge my account for $39.95. I called their customer service to cancel this “service” but each time I call the number, I’m instructed to dial the extension number for a representative. The rep never answers. Each time I call again, I get a different extension number.
