CoForge Spoof Reports & Reviews (1)

- Homestead, FL, USA • May 20, 2025

I applied for a remote job through the OfferUp app and was contacted via email by someone named Rhonda Van Dyke, who claimed to represent Coforge. She scheduled an interview through Microsoft Teams. After the interview, she informed me that I was selected for the position. I was then sent an employment offer letter, which I signed.

After signing the letter, I was transferred to another individual named Brenda Boucher, who was supposed to begin my training. Instead, she informed me that I would need to purchase office equipment before starting work and that the company would be sending me a check to cover the cost.

A few days later, I received a check made payable to me with instructions to deposit it into my personal bank account and then use the funds to purchase the equipment from a specified vendor. I found this unusual and asked why the check wasn’t sent directly to the vendor. I was told that I needed to handle the purchase myself.

I contacted my bank to ask general questions about this type of check and based on their guidance — along with my own research — I discovered that this matched the pattern of a known employment scam involving fraudulent checks and impersonation of legitimate companies like Coforge.

I did not deposit the check and have since ceased all communication. I am submitting this report to raise awareness and help prevent others from becoming victims.
