Report

They first called and identified as Chase bank, saying someone applied for a card in our name. Then he said we should close all accounts that were compromised. He has lots of personal info and our socials. He said he transferred us to CFP a real credit counselling service here. That person said they were connecting us to a program for people over 60 where we were to receive 60% reduction of debt guaranteed. I fell for it but felt it was off after giving authorization to charge the lawyers fees. Stupid I know! I feel sick. I have started the dispute with the credit card companies and canceled and froze every account. They also got my bank and routing # from me for the reduced monthly poa. I am going to the bank in person to close our account and get a new #. Don't be stupid like me. They scare you, then *help* you and draw you in.
