Pet sale Scam

Saw website , looked at dogs/puppies, send text to site inquiring about 1 puppy. Was texted message with info on puppy and given opportunity to buy. Received paperwork on puppy with amount including shipping. We paid the money as instructed through PayPal friends and family, $800.00. Next we receive an email from transportation company saying they need us to purchase from them for $1550, a pet carrier approved by them for flight to destination. We paid the money and got the all clear for transporting the puppy to us. Next morning 9/23/22 get another email from transport company saying they now need for us to purchase insurance, they say if don't buy their insurance, we will be held liable for abandonment and abuse of puppy. I had had enough of that and refused to pay any more money. The person we bought the puppy from has been go between for us and transportation company. He got mad that I won't pay , I tell him he should pay because the money is to be refunded. Haven't heard back yet.

I believe they are a fake online pet - dog selling website. They use fake dog profiles and want $ using cash payment methods then they don't have the dogs they promised to deliver. I didn't send them any $ and ask if I can meet them and that I would come to meet the dogs in person. They gave excuses of Covid cautions and also that they had a theft 5 months ago. I said I don't feel comfortable sending cash with no guaranteed of delivery of dogs. They agree to a deposit and final payment after delivery but I still insistent to meet them and then they went dark. I offer to meet them at the airport and give them one full payment there but nothing. I also found that someone report them and registered their website on petscam.com. I also reported them there and also submitting this report here and also at ReportFraud ftc.gov.

On line puppies for sale. You email them through their website and then they send you a text message with more photos of the puppy you want. I called to speak with the breeder who said his name was Tommy. He said I could reserve the puppy and pick it up in San Bernadino. He would not give me his address nor his AKC professional number stating he had problems in the past by giving this info away. I agreed to pay him via Paypal account: [email protected]. He then said I had to pay him through the friends and family account on Paypal which I didnt. I paid for goods and services. He said he would cancel the payment so I could pay him again through the friends and family. After he said he did cancel, I called PayPal and they said he did not cancel any charges. I had the payment placed to frauds in Paypal. He continued to text and speak to me asking if I still wanted the puppy. I said I would come look at them in person but he would not give me his address. The more I asked the more he declined to answer.

Yes this person selling chihuahuas goes by the name Nick Mcathy or Edison Ndiks. He uses Zelle or paypal for forms payment for the pets. I used zelle and paid $1000.00 for 2 chihuahuas and then was told the shipping insurance was $850.00 using [email protected] to a Tony Mcathy & to send it wal-mart to wal-mart using moneygram. I tried at 2 different walmart locations using moneygram and was alerted to the scams. I notified Nick and he told me not to use the word "dogs" & to try again. I requested a full refund of my $1000.00 & this Nick said I would get my refund in 30 days and later said that he didn't have to do business with me as I am a "bad mother" to do this to animals.
