Recently filed as an LLC and received mail from this scammer asking me to send a check in the amount of $67.50 to receive a certificate of good standing. At first blush it looks very legitimate and if I weren’t an attorney I think I would have been fooled. The street address goes to a UPS location and the phone number has a sketchy pre-recorded message when you call. There’s no mention of the OH Secretary of State on the paper they sent me and the certificate of good standing request form on the SOS website is completely different. I tried to attach a photo of the form but I’m not sure it worked. Happy to provide that via email if requested.
