Ceridian HCM Inc / imposter Reports & Reviews (6)

I'm reaching out because this looks like a legitimate offer at first however the return email is a regular Gmail not company email so I can tell it's fraudulent and would like other to be aware of it the email I got is very straightforward:
I am Michael Dawson, one of the hiring members of ( Ceridian HCM, Inc). This is in response to your resume, you have been selected to undergo an online interview with me ASAP.

Summarized Description:
Job Title: Data Entry
Position: Full Time/Part Time
Working Hours: Flexible
Flexible Salary: $35 per hour

It's sadly misleading since I am actively looking for employment to have scams like these

I was contacted on my email by someone named Derik Walter claiming to work for Ceridian HCM. They got me to create an account on Wire to contact this Hiring Manager name Michael Dawson. I interviewed with Michael through Wire chat and it was incredibly awkward. He described a role to me that seemed to fit video-editing even though I thought it was clear that I was hoping for a programming role. The questions asked did not seem to make it clear that it was all any employer would need to hire me. He said to wait about an hour before they make their decision. Then, he sends me this:

You will Earn $45 per hour. Working hours / training is always flexible. All these you will learn during your training.
You will be undergoing 5 days training and orientation which will commence as soon as you have all working materials which will be funded by the company's clients.

It is a total scam. People please watch out for it. I feel so dumb for falling for it.

I fell for this as well I gave all my info hopefully they cannot use it

I had the same experience with the same names. Jim Bozzini was supposedly who I was texting with. They wasted 2 hours of my time asking questions and apologizing for the seemingly unprofessional way of interviewing. Towards the end they said I'd have to purchase materials and software for my new job, because-of course-I got the job YAY! lol. They then sent me a very unprofessional looking job offer and a W-4 and Homeland security form, all asking for my SSN and license #. Oh, and in the very beginning, they asked for the name of the bank I bank with. Having a feeling, I lied but answered just in case. DO NOT fall for this! I am reporting this to Upwork. I also sent a reply telling them to EFF OFF.

A guy named Alex Garner posted a job for An Organized Data Entry Analyst. All I had to do was started a conversation through I had a guy named Marks Candia through Telegram. It was weird as is and he even apologized if it seemed unprofessional. Like fine, there are new ways of doing things but this was the first red flag. Then he went on to say, the HR department will get back to you in 10-15 minutes based on your responses to the questions. It was a Sunday day. Another red flag. It was literally everything that Kirsten Schinner experienced - new home office gear, will send money, blah blah blah. $35/hour as well. He then sent me "Employment offer letter" to my email with a bunch of different fonts, a W-4 form and such. But something was off, so I sent the documents to my old mentor who send me a link to here. Thank goodness. If there are red flags, even little ones, do not go for it. If it sounds too easy or weird, like having an interview through a messenger app, it is not real.

This person, Ben White, claiming to be a hiring manager contacted me, via text, for a job for an at home position as an admin asst. He claimed to represent a company called Ceridian HCM, Inc. The entire interview was conducted via text. They asked for my name, gender, age, email, and address. I gave them my name, gender, email and general location (ie, the tampa area). we went thru the whole process and they said, great, you have the job, we are going to send you some money to purchase your office sent up from our vendor, blah, blah. At NO time was there an employment letter of acceptance, and employment package with a w9, none of that. And then they emailed me a check and told me to take pictures of it with my phone and deposit it! $1500!! Who gives someone that kind of money and offers pay of $35 per hour with NO information on the person other than their name???? I have screen shots on my phone of the entire conversation. I looked up the company, they are a real company, traded on the stock exchange. But clearly this person doesn't work for them. I googled their phone number and there were fraud aligations connected to Centenial Bank. I looked up the name on the check, Cozan O'Connor, in Philadephia...........that is a real person too. Seems there is some serious identity fraud going on here. Oh, and the kicker, they wanted me to deposit the check and then send them a copy of the confirmation document, which of course would have my ACCT NUMBER AND ROUTING number on it!!

I do regret that I shared more than I should have about myself, my name, where I went to college, that I'm a military veteran, that i have a degree in psychology, that I have a 6 yr old daughter.................more than I should have shared.
