I am currently job searching so I put my resume on indeed and I made it public. A "job" reached out to me; which isn't unusual, but the HR person; who said her name was Natasha White, conducted my interview all online I never spoke to her. The website for the company looked legit. And all of the reviews on indeed about the job seemed legit. I even did a search on the ScamPulse.com site. Natasha also sent me all of the onboarding documents such as W-2's and I-9's just like any remote job. But Natasha sent me a check for $4,600 to my email; which I thought was weird but I decided to deposit it anyway just to verify if my suspicions were true and they were. There also wasn't a lot of information about the company online which was another suspicion. Natasha also was saying weird things in the interview process like, can we trust you and will you be loyal to us if you're hired. And at the end of the interview, she did not ask if I had any questions for her; which everyone knows that is how every job ends an interview. I knew in my gut this is was an odd interview process, but I decided to see it through; and oddly I'm glad I'm did.
