I have my student loans in default and applied for the RAP program so I can go back to school. I was contacted by a rep with the CARE processing company to make minimum of 3 of 6 monthly payments in order to get my student loans out of default. They had ALL my PII and student loan information. I contacted student aid as well as default resolution group to confirm their affiliation with such company before making any payment. Neither organization/department have heard nor affiliated with Care Processing company to handle student loans. All loans and loan resolutions are done internally between the student aid and default resolution due to the handle of government funds/loans. No third party handling.
