A well-designed ad came through my email disguising the advertiser as Bed Bath & Clearance and purporting to be selling merchandise for this store that is widely known to be going out of business. I placed an order for pots and pans costing $12.99 and at checkout was charged $12.99 for shipping (which should have been my first tip-off). No merchandise ever came but $25.98 was charged to my credit card the day I placed the order. I suspected this might have been a scam so did a search for CAPRCHAIN and discovered that my suspicions were correct. I don't expect to get my money back but felt it was worthwhile to file this scam notice in case someone else is tempted to buy from this website.

Placed an order in July, never received. I reached out and was told it was delivered and they provided a bogus tracking/confirmation. It was luggage and porch furniture, hard to miss this type of delivery. Site now says business closed. Reached out via email a couple times and was told they suffered a loss and would try to see what they could do. When I advised I would report them as fraudulent, they offered a refund. I ceased all communication and reported to my bank and decided to report here as well.

They made it look like they were an inventory clearing house for Bed Bath & Beyond and they took $41.20 for merchandise ordered.

They let me track the shipment for a few weeks, but then the tracking website was gone and another window appeared asking for my email.

Now that website says the store is temporarily closed. When I contacted them 6 weeks after the order had not arrived, they said it had been delivered a week earlier.

But I was never notified that it had been delivered and it was a large package containing two travel suitcases and it could not easily be misplaced or lost.

They don't give a phone number, just an email where they told me good luck with your problem.

Appeared to be bedbathandbeyond.com clearance website. Offering too good to true prices. Only after order was placed was it made clear that this was in no relation to the actual store or c ompany.
