Type of a scam: Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Our company was contacted asking to verify information on our Google Account, and made it seem as if they were actually calling from Google. They recorded our employee saying the word "YES" to the question "Are you the correct person we should be speaking to" and then used that recording as "verification" for charging our company money for services we never asked for. We have stated that we have our own internal marketing team and we pay Google ads for our advertising and would not and do not want their services now or in the future. They then sent invoices in the mail that are going to be "reoccurring monthly invoices" of just under $1,000.00

Upon looking at the google reviews online for this company, we decided to do the only thing that others were saying is working and ignore their phone calls and emails. They have become more threatening and rude as time has gone on. Seems like they like to target small businesses and then threaten to ruin their credit rating if they don't pay. I have read other reviews that say they think they have a fake collections agency contact the people who are not paying with the agreement that if they "pay the first outstanding invoice of $1,000.00 they will "forgive" the other outstanding and stop billing you."

Best thing to do is not take any phone calls from this "company" and if you do, do not say the word "yes" at any point or it will be used against you.

They are saying they are a collection agency . They are trying to get me to pay them. A bill from the CANADIAN BUSINESS PHONEBOOK from 2021. They are spamming us with calls. I never dealt with this company or agreed to any dealings with them.

Aggressive phone call initially multiple times asking contact information and trying to confirm personal information about owner of the company. Then repeated emails to our general email account requesting payment of invoice and asking for credit card information without providing invoice. Invoice finally received today and many abnormalities on the document and can see obvious photoshop adjustments to make invoice look legitimate. No services were ordered or requested ever from this company or organization
