They called 2 minutes after the news did a segment warning people about it.

My elderly mother said they had called a few times and she had said yes to them every time.

I am helping her contact her credit card company and bank tomorrow morning.

I am not sure at the moment if she has lost any money.We will have to go over her statements.

Answered the call on 3/14/17 on my home line. I only answered it because the number was from our town. The number that came up on the caller ID was 607-967-4303 and our home phone number is 607-***-***, so it appeared to be a local number. When I answered "hello" there was some confusion and noise, and the caller said something to the fact that....Oh, I'm sorry, I had to put on my headset, can you hear me ok now? I think I said "what", but I may have said "yes", and she started rattling on a story that I had won a 3 day paid cruise, so at that point, I realized it was a scam call, and I hung up. I did do a look up on the phone number, and it came back assigned to a *** and/or *** of Highland Road, Bainbridge.

When answering my cell phone at 5:24 pm on March 3/23/17 the caller asked if this was Sue on the phone. I said "Yes, who is calling" . He responded that it was Brad with the Snow Blowers conference or something to that effect. He continued to babble and then he told me to "hang up the phone". I realized quickly that I was a victim of the Yes scam and refused to hang up because I was unsure why he would be so adamant about it. I decided to stay on the line and muted the phone. The call lasted disconnected after 3 minutes.

I received a phone call from an unknown number with my same area code. A woman came on and said "hello" twice. She then asked if I was there and I said "yes". The woman then said something along the line of "oh sorry my headset fell off". She then continued to say that I recently stayed at one of their resorts. I immediately hung up. I then remembered the "yes" scams...... too late.

Strange call. Caller supposedly asking about Heating./cooling service. Shows as Schenectady number and said he had recently moved into Castleton, NY area.

Said "Yes" to one of his questions, then conversation ended.

Happened 3/14/2017 about 12:50 PM

Not sure if this is anything to be concerned about, but cannot call back number - always busy.
