Can you hear me Phishing Scam Reports & Reviews (241)

Calla and asks if you can hear them. It's a recording.

After watching the news, I realized that I, too, had received a scam phone call TWICE from the giggling girl stating she didn't have her head set on... she sounded like a twit.. and I'm sure I said "yes" at some point but I hung up quickly. So we shall see what they can do without any information.

I have no idea of the intent but was annoyed and when asked if I could hear I shouted to never again call me. The person spoke with a Middle Eastern accent like Indian or Pakistini.

They'll call you over and over all through out the day. No one will answer. They may be recording hoping to hear a "yes, sure, or okay" to sign you up for a program and may call back later and demand money.

Asked if I recently received a phone directory. I answered yes since I had not yet heard that this is likely a scam to re4cord a positive response to be repeated for other purposes. Then the caller hung up.

Voice saying "this call is being recorded" "Can You Hear Me?"

Called and ask said this is Sean from customer service...can you hear me.

- Saint Johnsville, NY, USA

I received a phone call and caller stated they had problems with their head set and asked if I could hear them. I said yes, and as they proceeded with explaining who they were I hung up.

I just heard the news that it's a scam so they can record your voice saying "yes" and order items.

I received a phone call on 1-27-17 from the above referenced phone number. When I answered the phone a man's voice said "this is customer service can you hear me". I replied "yes" and then the man's voice started to say that I had won a cruise at which time I realized it was an automated call and hung up the phone.

I answered the phone and a person said "Can you hear me? I said yes. I heard about this scam on News Channel 9 in Syracuse, N.Y.

I got the above call, answered, the caller stated she was having a problem with her headset, luckily i don't think she asked if I could hear her, so i know I did not say the 'yes' word, but once she started on her spiel about winning a vacation, i tried to interrupt her, but because that was not happening, i just hung up. the call came into my cell phone at 1:44pm

- Getzville, NY, USA

The caller said she dropped her head set and asked if I could hear her. There is a scam where if you say "yes" they can try and bill you for a service or product you did NOT agree to purchase. My local news just had a story. Many people got this same call. Someone dropped their headset.

- Central Square, NY, USA

Wife answered the phone and the caller asked "can you hear me?" Wife said yes. Caller repeated the question twice and wife answered yes twice.

Asked if I could understand him he said say yes I hung up

- Auburn, NY, USA

This call sounds like a person - "Hi, this is Josh, can you hear me? - when I replied yes it sounded like it recorded my voice and then I realized it was an automated call telling me I won a vacation package. I hung up immediately. Unfortunately, my phone is property of my employer and I work with 2 individuals named Josh so I did not catch on to this until after I said yes.

The caller, robo caller, said I won a free vacation, and then asked if I could hear them I said yes that I could hear them and advised I don't have time to listen to them and hung up. I just recently learned of the can you hear me now scam so I am reporting it now.

- Buffalo, NY, USA

This is the can you hear me scam.

Appears to have been the "can you hear me scam", no action has occurred as of yet but wanted to post this number for further investigation. I was called and asked if they could hear me when I picked up, and when I proceeded to tell them I was not interested, they went on discussing an offer.

- Middleport, NY, USA

Automated message that asked if I could hear them.

Caller would not speak right away, then stated they were having trouble with their headset, I believe they asked if i could hear them....then proceeded to stay because we stay with their hotel in the past, we would be entitled to a very special vacation package (I'm not sure of the specifics)...but I asked where we had stayed, female caller kept speaking. When I asked again and she did not respond, I hung. Information on our local news station tonight reports a 'can you hear me scam'.
