I received a phone call today, and after brief one sentence introduction, I was asked by a woman's voice "can you hear me OK?" The phone number that showed where the call came from was (347) 868-6354.

Unfortunately I was caught by surprise and answered "Yes," then remembered about what I had seen on the Internet about a "Can you hear me now" potential scam. I hung up right after responding with the "yes," so I hope nothing will come of it. We had signed us up for the "no call" option a long time ago, and unfortunately a lot of calls for handouts, home repairs, credit card solicitations, etc. are still coming through and it is extremely annoying. I usually just hang up on these calls once I hear who the call is from, or if there is no response in a few seconds. But at least I am reporting this particular call. Sorry I don't remember what was said by the woman's voice other than "can you year me OK." Again, the phone number that the call came in through was (347) 868-6354.

Recorded message stating that they are responding to my online inquiry to a job posting (something I have not recently done). Then the recording says "Can you hear me?" I have received numerous calls like this over the last few weeks (all from different numbers - some local, some out of state). I replied "yes" to a call weeks ago before hearing of this being a scam. Now I just hang up. This is the first report I have made.

In my area we have on NEWS people calling and asking people " can you hear me " well recorded voice called my home and I couldn't make out who she said she worked for all she asked me right in beginning was " can you hear me?" and then went on about walgreens, Walmart etc...and she then asked if I could hear her again...I didnt answer Yes because I read on the news of the potential scam ...I included the number they called me from.
