I was contacted by phone. I was told my credit was good enough to qualify for a government pandemic assistance plan. The gentleman told me it cost me nothing and was for people whose credit card banks overcharged their credit cards with high interest rates. Then I later found out they were charging me 45% of the amount of the debt.. for lawyers to do the process. I found out the interest rate was in fact lower than most on my credit cards. I have been with the bank since 1970, so I know they are trust worthy. In addition, it would shut my credit down for 18 months. When I came home and told my husband, he was very upset. We immediately called the bank and warned them. In addition, we got money out or out investiments and paid the card off. CM Solutions still charged me $5225 I keepcalling asking them to remove the charge from my VISA card. They say i must contact an Angela Bates at 877-806-9088. I have made six calls to that number. I have been told she will call me back three times, Three times there just has been no answer. I now am going to forward it to the Federal trade Commission as a Fraud of a Senior . I am 74 and this has caused me tremendous worry and angst.
