scam invoice from Business Support, Inc.using email [email protected]

+3

I received an email dated Aug 6, 2019, with a subject line of 'Auto-Receipt with a message "Thank you for your payment! Your subscription started at August 6, 2019. It is now active and will be automatically renewed on September 9, 2019. Your payment method was billed $600.00... For more information about this purchase, please see Invoice attached to this message." Email text for invoice referenced Transaction Number 25375. Email Invoice content header was "Business Support Materials, Inc" the address bit at the bottom referenced Business Materials Support. I do not recognize any such entity, certainly made no such subscription, and the details are missing some things I'd expect to see such as a phone and/or website contact. I believe the whole point is to get the receiver to open the attachment.

Received an email from

Auto-receipt ([email protected]) on July 6, 2018.

Looked like an invoice from Business Support, Inc. out of Groton, CT for $600 and said thank you for payment and it would be renewed on 08/6/2018.

Had a link to "view your invoice online"

No phone number or my personal Information on it....appears to be a scam.

Received an invoice claiming I was being billed $600 monthly starting Dec. 19, 2018 and every month afterward for that amount.

Sends email about "your subscription confirmation" with a bill of $600. Stating you will be billing monthly.

Upon reading the email, I clicked "View your invoice online" in attempts to get further information and clarification of this vague email. After the first few times of not opening, I should have known something was up and wished I had never clicked the link as who knows who I just let in through cyber connection. I should have realized when there was no contact number provided at the bottom of the email this was fraud. However in the meantime, I immediately checked all my bank accounts for any pending charges then Googled the address given. It lead me to Amway where I then called their customer service which led to dead ends as they had no record of my name or email address. I then had another bad feeling about them having that much information linking my name and email address together. I then called my account to report my suspicious email to further protect my accounts. I also changed my email password and cleared any memory or history I could.
