I have a Brother printer. After the last update I have a sign on the Hidden Icon (Windows 11) saying: Driver setup is required to use your selected machine. I checked the Device Manger on Windows 11 and it says that I have the correct driver but the message persists. I decided to contact Brother. Searched for my printers model and the message using Google and found a website https://i-downloadsoftwares.com/ where I could chat for support. The chat asked for my email and phone number and then they told me to wait for a phone call. I received a call from this number: 332-373-4409 . The "tech" asked me to access my computer to check and I said no. He hanged up. (The tech had a Chinese accent). So I contacted the chat again and she said to call 332-282-6758. I tried the number and it never answered. I told that to the chat person and she closed the chat. I have seen several other reports on the web about this SCAM and it needs to be dealt with by Brother Industries. Will not buy any other printer from them or recommend them if this problem is not solved.
