- Wichita, KS, USA

I received a text with a photo of my entry that I made while visiting a small restaurant while I was on vacation in Florida. The text asked me if it was my entry and to reply back for more details. They send you a web adress and a phone number that connects you to an agent. Everything seems legit, the number the website, etc. I decided to try to contact the cruise line and they do not have anything that connects to Brooksdale Travel Agency. From their I decided to look up the ScamPulse.com for the website and what do you know it’s a scam.

I was contacted via text about a vacation entry form I filled out in the mall claiming that I had won. The text directed me to a 20 minute voicemail and at the end of it they asked for 69$ x 2 and $20 x 2 for “booking fees” if you give them that they keep asking for more and more money until they ask for a total $2000 for this supposedly free vacation. There is no refund since it’s a scam. Be very careful and do not hand them ANY money!

Signed me and my boy friend up at our local mall to win a free vacation to the Bahamas.

Not long after my boyfriend got a text message saying won.

Well it wasn't free. We had to pay for certain things.

He went a head and made a payment.

The next day. I got the same text message saying I was the winner.

I would like to know it this is a scam..
