Apparently the number I got in contact with representative Rodger was the international line. Rodger asked me for my reservation number being #4516033202 asked me for the PIN: 7477, with this he accessed my booking.com reservation to Counrty Inn & Suites by Radisson, Topeka West, KS 66615. For days November 9, 2024 to November 12, 2024. He then said that usually booking.com does not refund reservations. But that he would help me with my cancellation request that's all I needed to provide him with was a booking.com gift card from any of my local Walmart or cvs. I did just that but once I couldn't find a booking.com card Rodger told me that we could use an Xbox card instead and that it would work to complete the process. He wouldn't let me hang up his call he made me sit on the phone while I purchased two gift cards in the amount of $250 each and gave him the access codes in the back of them. Once I did that he then ordered me to buy two more gift cards of the same amount because his system was in need of two more codes so that it was authorizing my refund. This is when I denied his request he then started repeating the whole process to try and confuse me again but I hung up on him and immediately got in contact with my bank. It was extremely frustrating and that individual gained $500 in gift cards which I am attempting to dispute and I still had to dispute the booking.com reservation for $341.76 I further researched their customer service lines and it was the same phone number I reached out to. This is the only customer service point of contact that this website and application have. I'm confused as to how this individual had access to my booking information and was able to scam me for two Xbox gift cards. He had access to confirmation emails. Rodger could see that we had paid with a visa ending in the same numbers as the visa we had used for the reservation. Making this scam pretty feasible for Rodger.
