I ordered a book from Book World Library and paid in full, but never received the book. I contacted the company multiple times over several months. They responded but never shipped the item and never refunded my money.

After researching the company, I found many similar complaints from other consumers reporting the same issue. This appears to be an ongoing scam operation. I am reporting this to warn others not to do business with this company.

I had a similar issue with this company in the past, but I decided to give them a second chance and ended up having a WORSE experience. I ordered a book which indicated in the title, author, and publisher that it was the exact version I was looking for. Their website disclaimer only states the book ILLUSTRATION does not guarantee edition received, implying the specific details listed can be trusted. Which is additionally implied by the fact that they have multiple listings for the same title, all with different details, which would indicate each listings details are at least accurate. I received a book that was not even remotely related to the details that were listed other than the title. They claimed it was an ISBN issue and essentially too bad. The book I received didn’t even have an ISBN in it, which I let them know. They do offer for you to return the book at your own expense for a refund, but the expense to return it is as much or more than the book itself, making it a SCAM option. When I said that wasn’t acceptable, they could provide a prepaid return label or just give me a refund and provided photographic evidence of what was listed vs what was received, they said then we suggest donating it, no refund offered. I’ve had past issues resulting in maybe $10 worth of refunds before and conversely have spent hundreds over the years, so in clearly not trying to get away with anything. They have FRAUDULENT listings, falsely using information from the incorrect publishers to sell books in no way related to said publisher, and SCAM resolutions. The dollar amount might be small for me, but if they’re doing this to everyone then they’re stealing a lot.
