Received a bank statement supposedly for our business, from BMO at the above referenced address. It showed opening on July 3, 2024, statement ending July 31, 2024, zero balance. There was a toll-free # for questions: 1-888-320-2265. I called asking about this statement. Requested a fraud investigation because neither I, the treasurer of our organization, nor any other person known to me, opened any such account. The person I spoke with would not give me the name of the person/s who opened the account, when, or where. I did not give any information. They said they were initiating a fraud investigation.

Subsequently, I received two identical Notice of Account Restriction notices. The phone #, business address, were not recognized by BBB. The addresses from both letters are not validated on the BMO Bank US website.

The lady left me a voicemail stating she needed to talk to me about my vehicle loan and pay off the remaining balance. This loan had already been paid off after a vehicle accident and my insurance companies paying it off after the car being totalled.
