I received a knock on my door. The gentleman said he was selling magazines and was part of a program to help formerly incarcerated people get back on their feet. He said he was a single parent to an 11 year old son and originally from Chicago. The magazines I purchased were donated to children and he received commission. He gave me a receipt and said I could cancel in the next few days. Afterwards I looked closer at the receipt and saw a bunch of typos so I knew I was scammed. I canceled the check and changed my bank account information.
