Van Roberts is representing himself as President of Black Gold Investments, LLC out of Dallas, Texas. However, Black Gold Investments shows as an inactive corporation in TX. He is selling oil "participation" in drilling for oil. And he is targeting my father, an 88 year old man with fixed income. He has invested over $160,000 and has had zero return in any of the investments. In 8/12/2014, Black Gold Investments (signor Van Roberts) filed documents with Securities Exchange Commission in which that they refused to disclose income and that the issuer (Black Gold) does not intend for offerings to last more than one (1) year. But currently (2019) there is nothing actively on file with SEC. Google search shows that Van Roberts was former President of Black Gold; and he was associated with two other companies: Fortune Royalty Exploration, LLC and Gold Leases, LLC. Kevin M Wright is also associated with these companies which all show as inactive LLCs within their respective jurisdictions.
