Beyou chair - never arrived

Bought a Beyou chair through the crowedfunding Kickstarter in 2020. I still have not received a chair for my contribution, even willing to pay for the shipping charges to Canada. If there is a class action lawsuit, I’d like to be contacted.

I purchased a chair through pre order (not kickstarter) in 2021. They increased shipping costs over 200% after the point of sale. Estimated delivery was 4 months.

No ability to purchase the increased shipping was available until 2023, they sold out over night and stopped responding to my emails.

Please someone start a class action again these fraudsters

60% Shipping Fees

I purchased the "BeYou, Transforming Chair With 10 Ways You Can Sit" via crowd funding site Indiego on 30 January 2021. Campaign contribution $349.

It wasn't until 4 October 2023 that I finally received an email about the product being available for shipment. However, I was asked to pay $200 shipping fee - that's almost 60% of the purchase price!

I contacted BeYou and asked them to either reduce shipping charges or to release me from my contract and to refund my campaign contribution.
They simply responded that it was not their fault that shipping from China to Austria was so expensive and that I had to pay up in order to receive my purchase.

Out of stock for backers, but not for new customers!!!!

This is a crowd-funded business that now offers its product to new customers, but not Both colors/styles are available to purchase for a whopping $945 plus shipping, but when trying to redeem my "reward" for patiently waiting for three years, funny, THOSE chairs are out of stock?!
Shameful.

Stay away from beyouchair. It is a scam. Total rip-off. They charged couple of hundred of Dollars over 2.5 years ago for pre-order and then double charged for shipping and handling (over $300).

It was explained that shipping would be extra from the beginning. It's not like the chair company sets the shipping terms. The chair is retailing for $945 + $200 shipping and you're complaining about the little bit we had to pay?

Like many others (thousands), I pre-ordered this BeYouChair in 2020. Still no delivery yet, three years later. . They've leaned heavily on supply chain issues caused by Covid as an excuse for no actual chairs being produced. Yeah, that excuse doesn't fly anymore. Even if they do ever actually make a chair (doubtful), not sure I'm willing to pay the ridiculous shipping costs that they are now demanding to „complete the order“ (150-250$ per item). Avoid this scam.
