Like the others on this page I fell prey to a cruel cruel ruse. I wont tell you my story or heartbreak and devastion this caused. Just the facts as I know them. Do not purchase a puppy from BassettHoundRescueHome.Com, you will never receive a dog.
On Sunday December 20, 2020 I click the contact button on the website https://bassethoundrescuehome.com/available-puppies.html. I wanted Bernie. As you can see an a similar post on Dec 3rd, someone else went for the same puppy.
After several emails back and forth I came to a total price for delivery to my home. I than used Zelle and forwarded the money. I was promised flight information, never received it. I was promised a second and third time promised a full refund if the flight information wasn't sent. Than I started to call "Mann" as he calls himself out and asking for a refund. There have been no further replies.

Google and all organizations that allow you to lodge complaints are responsible for this person to remain out there doing this.

We tried to buy Kobe today and luckily the money would not go through Wells Fargo after multiple tries. On one attempt the information that Mann gave to us did not match the Wells Fargo information so I looked up to see if the website was a scam... which it was. I thank everyone who created these reports because it saved us a lot of money and heart ache. We are so disappointed.

My husband and I sent MANN $400 towards deposit for Gina the basset hound, we have been trying to get in touch with him regarding the contract. He received the money December 7th. We have asked him why Gina is still up for sale and he indicated his web designer is on vacation LIAR! he stole $400 and he needs to be stopped I can't believe people are so disgusting. We just had our 13 year old basset put down. So he prays on peoples emotions. He will get his eventually

I sent $900 to Mann for our dog Bernie to be shipped to us. I didn’t here back with the flight info so I looked a little deeper and found out he is a scammer. I asked him to return the money and he said he would in the morning, but we never saw the money. This was a gift for my kids for Christmas and now everyone is heartbroken.

I just posted myself not even three weeks after yourself regards Bernie. Can you tell me did you ever get any resolution? I've lodged a complaint with the FTC as well and my bank.

I sent Mann at Basset Hound Rescue Home $900 through Zelle for our puppy to be shipped. I found out a day to late that this company is a scam and we will never receive our dog. I asked for a refund as the dog had not shipped and I had not received any of the shipping info yet. He said he would refund it in the morning, but we never saw the money and he is not answering my calls or texts now.

is a SCAM! https://bassethoundrescuehome.com is FAKE! Our puppy, Kobe, was supposed to arrive tonight at 7 p.m. My family was so excited but he never arrived!

I checked to see Kobe transit/arrival status on the Universal Pet Courier website (https://universalpetcourier.com) but it said pending. Not clear as to whether Kobe made it on board or not, I called the courier service. The courier was set up by Mann. When I called, I reached a Google Voice Number (970) 510-0812. The number is based somewhere in Colorado. Kobe was being shipped from Fort Myers, Florida.

I then engaged in a chat with a "customer service rep" on the courier website and he/she said the puppy did not ship because we needed to pay $1250 refundable insurance IN ADDITION TO the $900 that we already paid the day prior through Zelle for Kobe ($700) and shipping ($200). I thought that was completely ludicrous. Nothing about the charge was previously mentioned. When I asked about it in the chat, I was told that it was company policy to pay the $1250. Hogwash.

After a few bitter exchanges, I discontinued my communication with Mann or whomever was responding to me from the courier service.

I was able to dig up some info about Mann and his "breeder" operation. He is connected to other bogus websites including: https://destinyminidachshund.com/

among others.

His phone number, which is on the courier service tracking order (863-300-1166) was a text phone number in Florida.

Was elated to find an affordable Basset Hound puppy, until I was too late to realize I just gave my account info and 900 dollars to a fraudulent site. Initially, we contacted them in the intrigue of the puppy Tessa. Tessa was supposedly 10 weeks, up to date on all vaccinations, and dewormed. Tessa was also AKC registered with vet records and a one-year health guarantee. It wasn't until later after I had completed the money transaction through ZELLE that I did research on this individual. I found the exact same website under a different name that had been taken down, familyofbassethound.com. In shock, I went back to the initial first email to check for anything suspicious. I found grammar mistakes and the picture of the puppy different from the video of the puppy sent. I was in a foolish haze of excitement that cost my personal information to be laundered. The individual claiming to have the puppies sent another picture and video upon request making it extremely convincing. Back to the initial email, the person I was emailing hadn't included their address, phone number, or other information asked about the puppies temperament. Do not fall victim to scammers as such.
