Apparently David Hawkins has changed things up a bit!

There are a couple of other reviews on here already about him, but in those he was claiming to be from GE Financial Services. THIS time he told me he was from Aven Loans, which is an actual place (but it seems they specialize more in HELOC loans and I definitely don't own a house).. I told him RIGHT out of the gate that I would NOT be giving any bank login info over the phone. Routing and Acct # sure, whatever, because no one can do anything with those anyway EXCEPT deposit funds... but apparently my bank accounts were not the correct type? So then he said I could pick the money up at Western Union or a MoneyGram outlet! BUT, I'd have to pay a $50-ish fee in order to pick it up.

That didn't immediately throw red flags up for me because I asked multiple times, in multiple different ways, just to try and verify/clarify-- I'm paying this $50 or whatever to YOU, or TO Western Union/MoneyGram? And he clearly stated, it's a fee collected by the agency that sends the funds, since the amount would be originating from a bank/lender not another regular person. Sure, sounds good to me... it's not like he was saying "No you have to call me and pay ME the $50 directly before I'll even give you the Payment # to pick the money up," so it took me a little while longer to catch on.

At any rate... I will be blocking that number now!
