A person names Michael Toplen answered the phone and began to use fear-based tactics on me from the first introduction. He was quite insulting actually - I thought it was strange because everyone at Toyota has always been so terrific. I Google searched the phone number and realized that other folks had the same experience and that this was a scam.

I didn't necessarily lose personal information, but they had they had the make, model, and year of my car. They threatened being financially liable for all repairs as the factory warranty had expired. Their records indicated I had not contacted them to get my service contract up to date and protect my vehicle beyond the factory warranty. Looks fairly legit but very basic/generic at the same time.
