Austin Marketing Solutions Reports & Reviews (1)

- Tucson, AZ, USA

I am the owner of a timeshare. I recently received a phone call from "AUSTIN MARKETING SOLUTIONS", offering $22,000 plus, for renting my weeks to them.

They claimed to be brokers from a company in Texas. They spoke Spanish, which it surprised me a little bit. They sent me a "formal" offer (in Spanish), and had a few grammar and misspelled errors. I was so excited because $22,000 sounds so good. However I started searching. I checked their website (it's missing a "notice privacy"), does not look legit. Since they claimed there was a golf tournament in Mexico, I checked the website (Mayokoba Golf club), they certainty have a tournament coming up; so I contacted them via facebook, about 5 days later they replied, stating they did not have any relationship with Austin Marketing Solutions.

From there I called my resort, they warned me that this was a scam. I was still hopeful that they were serious people and a legit company.

I spoke to the scammers again, I asked for their broker license number. I received an email the next day with their licenses and the link to verify it myself. They are working in Texas but have licenses from Kansas. I am thinking that those licenses belong to somebody else and they were stealing their identity. They asked me again to sign the proposal and send it along with my timeshare contract. I told them I needed to get a hold of the resort to see if they have available dates for their guests. The guy said, "that's not important because they already know you will rent those weeks for us. When you sign the contract we will give a code, so that at the time of reservation they will know about us and you will have no problem with room availability.

The work with us, and our guest will probably buy a timeshare, which is going to bring a lot of business to them." Then I said, "So they know, and they have an agreement with you. So if I call, they will confirm this". He said, "well if you call customer services, they won't know. They will tell you not to do business with us. You would have to talk to the executives and the event organizers". Then I realized then just told me that when I call for the reservation they would know, but it was contradictory, that they would not know about the event (golf tournament), and that they will host for that important event.

I called my resort again, they told me that was not such a thing as a code. They say this is scam (once again).

I did way more research than what I am telling you. There were no other people talking about this company on google search. But I am certain this is too good to be truth and this is a fraud.
