I received text and phone calls from numbers posing as AT&T informing me that my promotional period was ending and had additional promotions available. They provided phone numbers and an emailed invoice of our new contract. They required that because the promotion was through DoorDash that I would need to pay via DoorDash gift cards to support their business; the gift card pins were provided to the fraud accounts department. They contacted me the next day informing me that the transaction would need to be completed again because of an error with the system being overwhelmed with transactions. I did not perform the task, but called AT&T and requested information about the promotion only to find that it was an imposter.
