I thought I was using a government site to apply for the Global Entry. I received an e-mail stating that I would receive my PASSID and it was empty and only included an application number.

I did a Google search for "Apply Global Entry" and I clicked on the first link that showed up. I didn't realize it was a sponsored link. I filled out all my daughter's personal information including name, date of birth, address, passport information thinking I was on the U.S. government's website and realized only when I arrived at the payment page that this was a scam. Thankfully, I did not submit my credit card information but I had already submitted her personal information.

Posed as a website to apply for the Global Entry program through TSA. Gained all of my personal information including past employment, addresses, passport info, license info, name, number, email, etc. Charged me $250

- Arlington, VA, USA

When you search on Google the term, "global entry," the website: https://global-entry-pass-us.com/ appears as the first search entry. As a result, my husband supplied his driver's license information, passport information, work information, and contact information, thinking that this was the government-sponsored global entry program under DHS. The website does not make clear that it is not associated with the Federal government, and even if it does, it supplies the information in very small print, making any user make the mistake of thinking that the website was an official one. Once the information was submitted, 2 charges appeared on my credit card--once from Apply Global Entry for 149.95 and 100.00 for US Customs Trusted Traveler. My credit card company, appropriately flagged that this was an odd charge. Finding that this was a scam this evening, we have asked them to cancel our application through their "Contact Us" form. We are waiting to hear back from them to cancel the application. Our credit card company, recommended that we flag this issue for ScamPulse.com and also call back once the charge gets posted. Please let us know how we can resolve this if you have any resources. Please also let people know that this website is a scam. Thank you.

Website appears to be for Global Entry, but is just phishing for your personal information.

I did a web search to apply for global entry. I filled out an application and paid a fee. I received an e-mail confirming receipt, but haven't heard from them since.
