Was sent a badly written email to contact a Peter Davison via Microsoft Teams. Then received a pushy text from Yasmine that stated I needed to contact a separate person from HR using an app called Signal Desktop. I did respond by contacting Peter on Teams, but his responses were unorganized and unprofessional, so I looked up his name and it took me straight to this website where another person explained the same scenario (thank you stranger).

I texted “Yasmine” to clarify what steps actually needed to happen and never got a response.

Below is the text I received from Yasmine.

Good day prospective employee.. My name is Yasmine and this would be the 2nd time we are trying to connect with you in regards to your resume being approved for a Remote Data Entry/Customer Service/Administrative Assistant position with a pay rate of $30/hr. You are required to contact the HR on Signal Desktop App. You can download the app from your Google Play/App Store (https://signal.org/install/), add the HR manager (Ms. Anders) using this ID ( 15416741295) and send a message to her for the interview process.

Interview verification code is SND-BLL4. This is your first step to proceed further as she will be expecting to hear from you soon. Thank you!

Below is the email I was sent to contact Peter.

WE reviewed your application on "INDEED" for the post of our Customer Service/Data Entry/Administrative Assistant, and I'm impressed with your experience and background. I want to follow up and let you know that I would love to find time to speak with you. Kindly add " PETER DAVISON " up on MICROSOFT TEAMS on this ID, [email protected] for your text chat interview,from the hours of 8AM-4PM. If you don't have MICROSOFT TEAMS, you are required to set up one. You can also download the fore mentioned application on your smartphone. Once again, this is the ID to add him up ([email protected]). NOTE: This is an online/Work-from-home job and also, we're looking to hire someone to start immediately. Please send him a message on MICROSOFT TEAMS letting him know you're the one so he can accept your request for your text chat interview.

All other scamming information in the screenshot of the email. Inconsistent names for emails and person sending email. Decided to call them out as soon as I saw a post here. Then, this Octavia person who wanted to ask for my name proceeds to say my name anyways. Checked on Indeed to see if the post was up and it was no longer there.
